How to Join

Membership applications and renewals are processed through the National SMPS website. Below are links that will help you get started:

Dues: $355 + $50 origination fee

If your membership lapsed three or more months before today’s date, please complete this form. To request that SMPS check its record for a past membership for you, call the National Membership Department at 1.800.292.7677, x229 or x226.

 

Transfer a Current Membership
No Fee

To take over the remainder of an active membership and change the name on the membership into your name.

 

Emeritus Member
Dues: $30

Paper Application 
Eligibility: An active member in good standing who is retired and who has been an active member of SMPS for a minimum of 15 years. Note: Emeritus members may not vote or serve on the National Board of Directors.

 

Student Member
Dues: $25

Paper Application 
Candidate must provide verification of student status at the time of application and when renewing the student membership.

Eligibility: A student enrolled in a full-time study program at an accredited post-secondary institution or a part-time student not employed full time in the A/E/C industry or not otherwise eligible for regular membership in SMPS.

Membership Changes

Formal changes to your membership information must be processed through SMPS National (www.smps.org or (800) 292-7677). Though these changes are reported from National to SMPS Colorado, you can expedite the update to our records by contacting us at admin@smpscolorado.org
